What's new on my WWW pages? -- 1996

Much to my regret the profider that hosted my webpages
for more than 25 years has announced that after 1 July
2026 they end the hosting service.
Therefore all my web pages have been moved to another
provider, which means the base URL changes from
https://josvg.home.xs4all.nl/ to http://www.josvg.dds.nl/.
The current page can now be found here.

10 december

Modified the pages about my present work concerning numerical simulations of 2D vortex evolution with a Finite Difference Method; see the What's new page there for details.

9 december

Added a page about the CD Life in San Fransisco at the Palace of Fine Arts from Loreena McKennitt.

27 november

Added a page about Sarah Brightman's CD Surrender, The unexpected songs to my page about Sarah Brightman.
Modified the Main music and lyrics page a bit, added a separate page with other artists I like, and updated the list of full texts on my pages.

7 november

Added a page about the Subgacial Eruption in Vatnajökull, Iceland -- 1996 (with lots and lots of images!) to my page with pictures found on Internet

4 november

Added a picture of NGC 6543, or the "Cat's Eye Nebula" to my cats pages and to the deep-sky picture page
Added an example of a collision under 90 degrees of two dipoles to my page on Numerical simulations of 2D vortex evolution with a Finite Difference Method. (The latter page formerly called the 'Post-doc. research in Eindhoven' page: I wanted its name to be more general.)

Added interview text and picture of Loreena McKennitt's video No Journey's End to my Loreena McKennitt page.

14 october

Added 18 new Scotland photos to my stay in Dundee page.

7 august

Added lots of new Scotland photos to my stay in Dundee page, which are also indicated in the Scotland photo index.
Made some further changes to my Scotland pages, as mentioned in the What's new page there.

2 august

Added my email address to all (I hope) of my Web pages.
Note: In February 2000 removed this email address again and made a single page with my email address (so that I can change that easier, when necessary).
Changed most large inlined images to .jpg format to reduce loading time; some others will be changed soon too.

2 july

Added to my cats page a horizontal bar with a cat and two mice (also one to my Home Page), and a picture of and link to the Home Page of the comic cat Heinz.

25 june

Rearranged the Scotland pages and added 16 new photos made in Scotland; more pretty pictures will follow.

19 april

Added link to first set of (text) pages about my coming Post-doc. postion in Dundee (Scotland).

2 january

Added contents and lyrics of Loreena McKennitt's 6th CD A winter garden to my collection of pages on her beautiful music.
