This song was commissioned from me as the theme tune to the Olympic Games held in Barcelona in 1992 and performed live by Sarah Brightman adn José Carreras at the closing ceremony, which was watched by a TV audience of 1.2 billion. [from the CD-booklet]

Enrique informed me that "Amis pour sempre" is really "Amics per sempre"; he wrote: I believe "Amis pour sempre" is not correct. I believe this specific line was written in Catalan and should read "Amics per sempre". Notice that in Catalan, you do pronounce the "c" in "Amics" and "per" sounds pretty much like "pour" in French. Furthermore, "sempre" means forever in Catalan, whereas in French this word is "toujours".
