[Scottish Highland] Scottish Highland

Murray's Scottish Highland liqueur comes in a bottile with no other information on the label than that it is a "superior malt whisky liqueur" and made by John Murray of Scotland PH1 4EB.

Since the liqueur is sweet it is probably made of whisky with herbs and honey. And I guess that it are these herbs that give the very odd smell and taste that I cannot describe in words. Especially the smell is strange -- first I thought it was something burnt, but that's not it. Still, it is quite nice to drink from time to time.

The Web site of the Scottish Liqueur Centre writes about this liqueur:

Murray's Scottish Highland Liqueur is a luxuriously soft and rounded malt whisky liqueur. Fine old aged whisky married with honey and sloes make this delicious to have on its own or used as a base for cocktails
