Sarah Brightman - Arabian nights
featuring Shweta Shetty

Part 1:
Shweta:
Aaj! Mann may eik aisi halchal hai.
Dil be-karaar hai,
Main be-karaar hoon,
Sansain, Sansain meri tham gayi hain.
Uf! Ye zaalim muhobat.
Aa re, aa re, aa re Piya.
Aray! aa re, aa re, aa re Piya.
Aray! aa re, aa re, aa re Piya.
Tardpa na!
[Ahs ...]
Tardpa na!
Aur mera ye jiya!
Ye jiya! Ye jiya!
[Ahs ...]
Ye jiya!
Part 2: Voyage
Voyage, voyage
Voyage, voyage
Wilderness to wilderness
I traveled from afar
On the soft wind of the Nadq
Came fragrance of Araar
Splendor of a thousand suns shone glory in my path
No love more pure and rage more fierce
Could still my beating heart
Voyage, voyage
Voyage, voyage
Part 3: Promise
So, should I return to trace the shadows of my chases
My steps will echo there from sand to stone
I will never let my eyelids close on empty spaces
My dreams will fill the void with tales unknown
Know the mighty infinite obscures the far horizon
The whispered road I take will never bend
Alone, and will the wind return my story to its promise
Or will my story chase me to my end

Shweta:
Sara ...!
[Singing scales of Indian classical music]
Sara ...
Part 4: Hamesha
Aye Hawa, Mere Dilbar
Ko Mere Pyar kay Geet Suna aa.
Tu hay meri Manzil
Aur pyar mera musafir, Musafir ...
Teri reshmi Zulfain
Meri, meri reshmi zulfain
Teri Zanjeerain

Hamesha ...

Meri reshmi Zulfain
Meri meri reshmi zulfain
Teri Zanjeerain

Hamesha ...
Part 5: Alone
Melodies unspoken
Flowing from the lotus of my heart
Ending where we start

Promises unbroken
Promising a never-ending fire
Of love beyond desire

Ending where we start

Note:
This version has a different first part than the original Arabian Nights on the Harem album.
Source of the lyrics: many thanks to Waqar Ali Sial.

Waqar Ali Sial added the following notes:

The first Part of these lyrics is in Hindi, Urdu and Rajasthani languages and is a different opening than original version. The first part of the Arabian Nights is divided into 3 languages:
   Urdu language
Aaj! Mann may eik aisi halchal hai. Dil be-karaar hai, Main be-karaar
hoon, Sansain, Sansain meri tham gayi hain. Uf! ye zaalim muhobat.
   Rajasthani language:
Aa re, aa re, aa re Piya. Aray! aa re, aa re, aa re Piya.
Aray! aa re, aa re, aa re Piya. Tardpa na! Tardpa na!
   Hindi language:
Aur mera ye jiya! Ye jiya! Ye jiya! Ye jiya!
At the end of Part 3, Shweta sings some classical Indian notes. There are seven kinds of notes in Indian music:   Sa, Ri or Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da or Dha, and Ni.

In the 5th line of Part 4, Sarah sings "Teri reshmi Zulfain", which is different from original version ("Meri reshmi Zulfain").

The transcription given is as the words are pronounced in English letters. Translation of these lines are also provided by Waqar Ali Sial:
Part 1:
Shweta:
Today! There is a tumult in my Heart
(My) Heart is restless,
I am worried,
Breaths, my breaths have stopped.
Uf! This cruel Love.
Come (to me), come, come (my) Love
Oh! Come (to me), come, come (my) Love
Oh! Come (to me), come, come (my) Love
Don't be cruel!
[Ahs ...]
Don't be cruel!
And (my) this heart!
This heart, this heart!
[Ahs ...]
This heart!
Part 4: Hamesha
Oh wind, (go there to) my lover,
And sing my love songs to him
You are my destination
And my love is a traveller, a traveller!
Your silky cowlicks
My silky cowlicks
and your chains

Always ...

My silky tresses
My silky tresses
(and) your chains

Always ...
