Somewhere, she knows that he will find her
'Til every single teardrop became a desert rose
Love her, and hold your hand above hers
Until the crossraods meet you - a legend that will come true -
No longer must you follow a desert rose
Music and lyrics: H. G. Wagner, F. Peterson, A. Silveria
This song is from 1999(?) and it was the title song of a 2-part series on
German TV (ZDF), broadcasted in January 2000, called "Wusten Rose" (=Desert
Rose); the song could be heard for 45 seconds only and Sarah was mentioned
at the serie's credits as the singer.
The song can can be found on a special German release (1999?):
a double CD with as disc 1 the European version of
Eden and
as disc 2 the
Time to say goodbye -- single,
with Desert Rose as bonus track (the combination is also
known as the "millennium edition" of that single).
The song was later also released on the
Fly II special edition (2000).
I am told that Sting wrote and sang a song called Desert Rose too,
but that song is very different from Sarah's song.

with some minor spelling corrections.
Listening to the song myself, I am not sure of two words:
- "hers" in line 3 sounds like "her", i.e. no closing-s;
- "meet" in line 4 sounds more like "lead" or "fleet", but that makse
no sense;
but neither of this is clear enough to make a correction.
