All of my life I've been in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here, now that I've found you,
I know that you're the one to pull me through.
Deliver me, loving and caring.
Deliver me, giving and sharing.
Deliver me, the cross that I'm bearing.
All of my life I was in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here, now that I've found you,
I know that you're the one to pull me through.
Deliver me,
Deliver me,
Oh deliver me.
All of my life I was in hiding.
Wishing there was someone just like you.
Now that you're here, now that I've found you,
I know that you're the one to pull me through.
Deliver me,
Oh deliver me.
Won't you deliver me.
Music and lyrics: Jon Marsh & Helena Marsh
From: Eden (1998)
and The very best of 1990-2000
(2001).
Source of the lyrics: the CD-booklet;
except for the repetitions and the last line, and a small
correction ("I've been" for "I was") in the fourth line.
Vibeke Patterson wrote me that this song features at the end of the movie
Brokedown Palace (1999), starring Claire Danes, Kate Beckinsale and
Bill Pullman. It starts playing as the film is ending and continues into the
end credits, and it can be found on the CD of the soundtrack (1999).
See for info on that movie the
Internet Movie Database (IMDb).
Giru wrote that the song is a cover from the UK group The Beloved,
it was written by them (=Jon Marsh and Helena Marsh) and it appears on the
cd "X".
