Sarah Brightman -- Who wants to live forever

There's no time for us,
There's no place for us,
What is this thing that builds our dreams,
Yet slips away from us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, .....?

There's no chance for us,
It's all decided for us,
This world has only one sweet moment
Set aside for us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, .....?

Now touch my tears with your lips,
Touch my world with your fingertips,
And we can have forever,
And we can love forever,
Forever is our today.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, .....?

Who waits forever anyway?

Music and lyrics: Brian May

From: Timeless (1997)
and The very best of 1990-2000 (2001)
and from: Live from Las Vegas (2004)
and from: Diva: the singles collection (2006).

Source of the lyrics: thanks to Armands Brants.
One "R M" wrote me that the lyrics as Sarah sings them, i.e. those given above, are not the complete lyrics of the original Queen song. The complete lyrics are, with differences given in italics (with thanks to Clark Moran for a correction):

There's no time for us,
There's no place for us,
What is this thing that builds our dreams,
Yet slips away from us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, .....?

There's no chance for us,
It's all decided for us,
This world has only one sweet moment
Set aside for us.

Who wants to live forever,
Who dares to love forever,
When love must die?

But touch my tears with your lips,
Touch my world with your fingertips,
And we can have forever,
And we can love forever,
Forever is our today.

Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever, .....?
Forever is our today,
Who waits forever anyway?

Chris Dias wrote me that this song was part of the soundtrack to the movie "Highlander" (along with other Queen songs) and can be found on the album "A Kind of Magic" by Queen (1986).
Chris also wrote that the album credits Queen and David Richards for the song. Stephen Bryce disagrees with this: he writes that "A Kind of Magic", "Classic Queen/Greatest Hits II", "Live At Wembley '86" all credit Brian May with writing the song.
An instrumental version of the song can also be found on some releases of "A Kind of Magic" called Forever. It was also performed at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert by Seal.
