The Hebrew lyrics in the song are sung by Ofra Haza and translated in English they read:

Idan adds that Ofra passed away in February 2000 and that she recorded her last album with Frank Peterson in 1997. Ofra and Bezalel Aloni wrote this song with their German friends. It could be, Idan wonders, that this trak was put on the shelf until now. Which brings up the question whether Sarah actually sung with Ofra, and if so: when was that?

In an article from EMI Canada it says:

The lyrics of "Mysterious Days" lend Harem a hipper, more modern sensibility in its evocation of American expatriates in Marrakech - Paul Bowles, in particular, and The Sheltering Sky. "It talks about the Casbah, working in the attic, the mix of the city and the Americans working there, and it has a dance aspect to it as well," Brightman says.

Singing along with Sarah is Ofra Haza.
