Profiles of topography

The topography, ridges or mountains or so, used on the pages with examples has one of the following profiles:


Profiles of the topography, with h_max=0.4 and width w=1.
The default fluid depth away from the topography is 1.

The full cosine (blue line; like the one sketched on the page about the effect of a bottom topography) is used for:

The half cosine (red line) is used for:

Note

The full cosine topography has smooth derivatives everywhere.
The half cosine has a discontinuity in the derivatives at the foot of the topography.
